We
were invited by another chorus group (香港藍天歌舞團)
to provide a joint performance in Leighton Hill Community Hall.
The
occasion was to celebrate the Mid-autumn festival, which was a
traditional festival of East Asian cultural circle folk, originated
in ancient China. It fell on the 15th of August in the Lunar
Calendar. It was also a traditional festival in South Korea, Japan,
Vietnam, Okinawa and Thailand.
It
was the first time we performed together and it turned out to
be a compliment to each other. Our group were more solid in singing
and in fact, we all stood there and sung only. The other group looked more into show business than us, they dressed in colourful costume, sung and
danced with different combinations. Nevertheless, the audiences were
happy to have a free concert!
