We
were there to celebrate the 53 years old chorus group, I guess it was
older than most of us! The other purpose of the event was also to
commemorate the memory of Ms Barbara Fei (also known as Fei Ming-yi).
She was a Hong Kong soprano opera singer and was the founder of a
choral group, Allegro Singers. She was very famous among the singing
world and did a lot of charities work, especially for promoting the
chorus singing in Hong Kong.
As
I was also very famous as having a walk-on part again in this
evening. We performed the final song, Defend the Yellow River
(selected from “the Yellow River chorus”), 保衛黃河(選自[黃河大合唱]).
